Progress (Part 2): Problems That Have Impeded Nigeria’s Development 1. Lack of Governance: Many of Nigeria’s problems stem from the lack of sustainable governance. Policies are changed as soon as a new government takes office. There is no continuation from where one left off, everything has to start from scratch. 2. Division and Discord: Religion and ethnicity have taken over the hearts of the people more than the country itself. This has led people to favor their fellow citizens over their own merits and merit. 3. Lack of Quality Education: Most schools in Nigeria lack facilities or good teachers. Students drop out of school without sufficient knowledge or skills  resulting in unemployed youth with no options. 4.  Corruption and Bribery: From the lowest offices to the highest levels, corruption is rampant. This is killing development efforts, because any plan that is to be made is robbed of its funds before it even begins. Where is the Solution? (Continue with Advice...

The Dangote Group has denied a claim by the Depot and Petroleum Product Marketers Association o f Nigeria that the refinery sells petrol to international traders at a price of N65, which is cheaper than the cost in Nigeria. DAPPMAN Executive Secretary, Olufemi Adewole, told our correspondent in an interview that members of the group bought Dangote’s petrol from international traders in Lome, Togo, at prices lower than what was offered locally by the refinery. Adewole said importers had made efforts to buy petrol from the Dangote refinery, but the price was higher, adding that sometimes, it could be better to import the product. “Dangote sells to international traders at N65 cheaper than what he is selling to us. In some instances, we were able to buy from those people and still bring it to Nigeria,” Adewole said. But in a statement released on Monday, the management of the Dangote Group described the claims as misleadinThe refinery wondered why the pump price of petrol is N865 in Niger...
