The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu, shared what President Bola Tinubu needs  to manage NPower and other government programs.

The news anchor asked if she would keep the National Social Investment Programs, including NPower, that were started before.

NPower stipend payment Continue with New Minister

Even with a new Minister, NPower stipend payments are still happening. Here’s the latest news!

Npower Nasims said on social media that they are still paying the stipends from 2022. This news came when a new Minister started working.

Remember, the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation got a new Minister, Dr. Betta Chimaobim Edu. She started a few days ago in Abuja. She wants to make things better for 136 million poor Nigerians.

Nasims said they are now paying Category 2 beneficiaries (C2).

If you’re waiting for payment, it might be because they are checking your account. So, wait a bit.

Nasims also fixed most of the missing information on the self-service portal. So, you can get updates there.


Investigation into Former Minister by Government

The new Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu, said the government wants to look into what the old Minister, Hajia Sadiya Umar Farouq, did.

They want to check how money for NPower Beneficiaries, unemployed youth, and poor citizens was used.

While they are checking, the new Minister promised to pay every one of past due payments to NPower Beneficiaries.
