BREAKING NEWS Supreme Court Confirm Tinubu’s Victory At Tribunal, Dismisses Atiku’s Petitions

The Supreme Court sitting in Abuja, on Thursday, 26 October, 2023, confirmed the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of All Progressive Congress (APC), and dismissed the appeals filled by the presidential candidates of Labour Party (LP) and People Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar respectively.

According to NTA news, the 7-member panel of Supreme Court led by Justice Iyang Okoro, affirmed the judgment of Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) Court which had earlier dismissed the petitions brought before it by Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi.

Justice Okoro, while affirming Tinubu's victory at the February 25 presidential election, declared that Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi's appeals lack merit, and therefore, dismissed them.

On the whole, having resolved all the issues against the appellants, it is my view that there is not merit in the appeal and it is hereby dismissed." Said, Justice Iyang Okoro.
